ENBE Project 1(b)
The Nature Dialogue
TASK
The Nature Dialogue is a group assignment. We are required to record a virtual discussion between team members on topic of nature. In a group of four or five, we are required to develop a video discussion on a nature topic that covers the scope of items listed. The discussion video shall be in a form of role acting.

WORK PROGRESS
During class, Miss Reene, our lecturer briefed us clearly on this group project and showed us some examples from the previous semester. The nature setting assigned for our group was the Arctic.
We started off the project by discussing the topic for the video. Since people usually thought of polar bears when the Arctic comes into mind, we decided to find a topic for the Arctic which is more unique and meaningful. Inspired by the video of walrus falling off the cliff at the Alaskan shore, which is in the region of the Arctic due decreasing of resting land, we decided on our topic.
"Walrus at the Edge of the Alaskan Shores"
In the proposal, all information gathered was compiled into a table. Only the useful information is filtered and highlighted based on the requirements. Next, we continued with the script writing for the video, referring to the information chosen. At the same time, we started making PowerPoint presentation slides to aid us in the video project. When the proposal was done, we received feedbacks from Miss Reene that we need to focus more on the issue of the walrus. Therefore, we discussed again and made amendments.
We started the video shooting using Zoom. The video recording session was not as easy as we thought. It took a few days for us to record the video perfectly. In order to cope with all the small issues like technical problems, we did many trial and errors as well as back up plans. Finally, the video is finished recorded and then edited by Xiao Xuan.
After deciding on our topic, we planned for the video project. In order to ensure everything went smoothly and organized, we came out with a timeline. Then, we started to do research online based on the scope of content required. We divided our information research into five parts, which were the introduction of the Arctic, reasons of walrus falling off the cliff, reasons of climate change, impacts of climate change and ways of preventions. My part was to gather information for the introduction which includes the nature setting as well as the abiotic and biotic elements.

REFLECTION
By completing this project, I am able to describe the different characteristics of nature by exploring the basic elements such as natural topography, landscape. Not only that, I also learn to communicate ideas through observation and using different media, tools and techniques to present information of the study of natural environment.

Besides, I also learnt to communicate better in a group. As it was a group project, cooperation and teamwork plays an important role. Throughout the process of creating this video project, we did discuss a lot and a lot in order to share our ideas, make improvements and making the best decisions. I am so glad to be part of Group Pongo as all of us worked together as a team very well. We did our best for everything.

In conclusion, I enjoyed very much throughout process of creating the video "Walrus at the Edge of the Alaskan Shores" virtually with my teammates. I gained and learnt useful knowledge as well as great experience.
